These look very similar to the old "flatten the curve" graphs with the R districts looking like the flattened curves and the D districts looking like the unflattened.
It must be a mathematical marvel that same graph could result in such stark opposing narratives.
Population density of D vs R districts, plus certain socioeconomic factors make it make a lot more sense.
Also, D policy might be worse than R policy.Tbh, while I didn’t check the graph or details out, NY and NJ alone recorded for such a disproportionate amount of US deaths that they probably account for the entire gap
