Do these masks really do anything though? They are totally open on the sides and not even tight on top and bottom edges. Any cough or sneeze should be able to get out. Any corona laden air can get in from the same places. Sure, better than nothing, but how protective are these really?

Masks slow the spread because much less gets out, when you cough while wearing a most almost everything that would have spread around the room gets caught. The main purpose of a mask is to protect the people around you which it does quite well. They also serve as a reminder not to touch your face.

family dollar in CH had lots of toilet paper, tissue, paper towel etc on shelves and seemed to have lots of stuff being loaded into store and from storage onto shelves
