Most shuls in Lakewood at least near me  seem to have reverted to regular schedule with one main minyan shabbos morning. Upwards of 150 people in one of the shuls with no extra spacing and no masks.

You seem to live in a very narrow world that begins and ends in NYC metro, where hundreds upon hundreds of frum yidden perished, r"l.

There is no hatzalah here as the city does that job just fine. There was no outbreak in the Jewish community here, so there is zero herd immunity. I don't personally know of any COVID-19 deaths in our Jewish community.

We have trends, Rabonim, and Doctors to rely on: https://coronavirus.ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/covid-19/dashboards/current-trends
Really? What’s the response time with your local EMS? Hatzalah is way way faster and they actually CARE!

Only time we've ever needed it, it took them less than 60 seconds to arrive. No bill for the ride to the hospital and they were awesome.

You need to get out more!
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Interesting indeed. Don’t try that with tri-state area EMS.
Heard from a friend in the local ems that they once received a call about an overdose with no breathing and the responding medics first went for a cigarette before making their way over to the scene. The patient was dead when they arrived.

I just find it funny that some people in NYC metro assume that things that happen around them are the same way everywhere else.

We also don't get speeding or parking tickets in my city, have our sidewalks plowed for us, and can call for same day on-demand garbage pickup of any item at any time for free.

Big country out there.

CLE probably the only sizable Jewish community without Hatzalah.

I'm in Bergen County - some shuls started outdoor, our town is starting Monday.

I've heard reports that some of the outdoor minyanim in surrounding towns went inside due to rain.

Amazing how some of the people who have all sorts of names to call the protesters also look to them for guidance.

Far Rockaway 5 towns still has a ways to go apparently - all indoor shuls still require masks many shuls allow members only, no touching sefer Torah etc.

New York State is now allowing 35% occupancy in shuls but not nyc yet

But Just this morning actually I heard yeshiva darchei Torah is back to no masks and achiezer said no more masks but my Rav didn’t hear that from his doctor so we’ll see what happens.

nothings impossible- the word itself says Im possible

I wore a mask in my backyard minyan today.

Honest question: why? Were you in close proximity to people that don't live in your household?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Lets just dispel the notion that not wearing masks is something related to religion in any way.
