The big question is what is the comparable stage from the last round to where we are today. I think it is pretty clear that we are at 2 weeks before Purim at the very latest. In order for it to have spread to the amount of people who had it shortly after purim the had to have been THOUSANDS of cases within the frum community when Purim started. It took about a month from the similar stage for that to happen.

How many cases do you think were in the community on Taanis Ester and how many do you think there were on Erve Shavuos?

I think it is pretty safe to assume that there will be some vaccine within years. Many of the louder voices for a full unrestricted reopening are anti-vaxxers so for them this is truly a cheshbon.

I believe the chances "soon" gets pushed off from the begining of 2021 utill at least the end of 2021 if not years later are extremely high. To believe the government will get something that usually takes a decade done in 1 year is unrealistic.

What about earlier? I think a large segment of the science community (majority?) believes that there will be mass distribution of at least one vaccine January, and possibly earlier.

I'd be pleasantly surprised if there's mass vaccination this year. More likely is targeted vaccination in Q4.

I can agree that some communities have basically reopened (NOT FULLY. WEDDING, LEVAYOS, SCHOOLS, INTERACTION WITH THE ELDERLY ARE VERY DIFFERENT THAN BEFORE) and have not seen an outbreak yet B”H.

Arlington Shul:

As you are aware there have been recent positive cases across Lakewood albeit with less severe repercussions than before Pesach. However, it is of utmost importance for the Shul, that all mispalelim be extremely vigilant to help do our hishtadlus to curb the spread. We therefore request that anyone who is not feeling well or has any symptoms what so ever should not come to shul.
In addition, anyone who is high risk it is suggested to wear a mask.
Hashem should grant Klal Yisroel Yeshuos Venechomos.

We all understand that due to the emergent situation in our town, which is changing by the day, it is necessary to take precautions to protect everyone and prevent the spread of disease to the best of our ability. As is well known, the coronavirus has spiked significantly. Although it is possible that this is a weaker strain, it still poses danger, especially to those who have medical conditions that place them at risk. We therefore ask that everyone respect the following guidelines to protect those around them.
 
Anyone that is positive for COVID-19 or has symptoms related for COVID-19 is forbidden to enter the Shul (even with a mask).
 
If you have been exposed to a person with COVID-19 (either at home, or at work, or in school), or if you or a family member has any symptoms, please consult with the Rov of one of the Gabboim before you enter the Shul.
 
If you have an underlying medical condition, please consult your doctor as to whether it is safe for you to come to Shul.
