Have 2 nights at a paid rate of $183 plus tax and the rate includes 2500 bonus Marriot points. Looking for $25 per night plus SNA which most likely won’t clear.

I only need 3 more nights to upgrade from Gold to Platinum. Was thinking of booking the cheapest Marriott for 3 nights. How can I search which is the cheapest Marriott ? Tried searching on their site and didn't really give me the option? Also, do I need to actually check in or just booking and paying would be enough even if I don't show up? Thanks.
