Why would a fully-vaccinated person subject himself to daily Covid tests in the absence of known exposures, especially one as unafraid of Covid as the freedom-at-all-cost governor of mighty Texas? Even vaxxed football players are tested only once every 2 weeks; only the unvaxxed get tested daily.

To be fair a governor might come in contact with or be exposed to more people as part of his duties, than a football player as part of theirs.

NBC reporting that Abbott has told people that he'd already gotten himself a 3rd booster shot, even though it hadn't yet been FDA approved. Interesting that somebody so opposed to public health guidelines in his state has taken so many precautions for himself. Hard to imagine DeSantis testing himself daily and getting himself an unauthorized booster.

Why? He’s younger and healthier, but there’s plenty of room (and precedent) for a politician to run policy one way and their personal life another. Even if DeSantis feels vaccination is a good idea personally he may not necessarily feel it’s government’s place to mandate it for everyone, including those who feel differently than him.

This is something some people can't wrap their heads around, they think that if someone doesn't force everyone to do something it means they think it's a bad idea.
