From my anecdotal conversations with family and friends, I don't believe it's possible to change someone's attitude in this through an argument. Maybe they will change their mind when the situation worsens, maybe not.
That's why I started arguing more than a month ago Seriously, a lot of people I argued with started acknowledging reality far sooner than the rest as things progressed. It also eased them into this whole situation, it's a lot easier to deal with it mentally when it's not so sudden and unexpected.
I was about to ask a stupid question. What made you think a month ago that this was any different than the 2003 SARS COV outbreak? I did 30 seconds of research and found the astonishing difference. The total 2003 outbreak infected a total of 8098 individuals. That's about the current death total of the COVID19 pandemic with infected at over 20x that. Some food for thought....
