My doctor has said that for the general public this is no worse than the flu. HOWEVER, for the percentage of the population that it is dangerous for, it is very dangerous.

That is very true. The main problem is the "however" as I had written here.

Statistically it’s not accurate aside for children, but in overall numbers, 0.2% fatality rate for healthy young adults - despite being much higher - is not extremely concerning. But worth noting that the sickness is much harsher than the flu, and many more healthy people end up in the ICU, which obviously is a big problem.

There is a flip side to that. It is important for people to realize that their symptoms may be at such a level yet and be from this virus and be deadly for others.
