BA Avios question(s)

NYC-MIA showing 3 options on AA.com but nothing on BA.COM on 2/20/14

What am I doing wrong?

I have had this issue many times in the past. Flight was showing on AA.com at the Saver level, but wouldnt show up on BA.com. I tried calling in, but the agent i spoke to chidingly told me it wasnt available, even after I fed him the flight number. So, I tried something new. Since I know BA.com is ocassionally glitchy, I tried searching for the same date and route over and over, again and again, and eventually, the flight popped up. This trick has worked 100% of the time for me, although sometimes I have had to search 20-30 times for it to pull up. This trick has pulled up a flight as available even when calling in and the BA rep told me it wasnt available, as long as it showed as available on AA.com at the Saver level. Happy searching!

Lately they are a total mess..... Tomorrow there is plenty availability on AA NYC-LAX But nothing coming up on BA

If i booked an aa flight with avios that departs within 24 hrs, can  cancel it?
I don't want to spend an hour on hold of  can't

I think there's a distinction between "priority boarding" and priority lines at security. At security on first/business class has a dedicated line, but not priority boarding.
I have always gotten "priority access" on all my BA bookings on AA, including 2 free bags per person.

-1 I've used it many times for faster security. Mainly in lga. After I got tsa pre though, it became a whole different game. I love it.

over the past 12 month I flew 4 times on AA with BA PP BPs, out of DCA, JFK and MIA, and never got special treatment at security.
Maybe I just don't know what to ask for.

I booked a round trip eze-jfk-eze on avios, ba said 1 free suitcase. I cancelled and rebooked as 1 ways, got 2 free suitcases each way.

No. If you have an AA card, you can pay the tax and fee for free bags.

Worked for me booking through BA and paying the tax/fees. In YYZ all they asked and checked was if i used my AA card to pay.

I guess even just using AA FFN can be fine as well.

Exactly. Showed my BP to the guy 'guarding' it and he let me in.
