Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

I booked an Avios flight for a friend through a purchased account. Just got an email that they tried contacting me and I should call them back.
I went to USAir with the record locator, it says active but won't allow me to choose a seat because ticket needs to be issued. It also doesn't say $2.50 by the total.
Any ideas what this could be?
Flagging the reservation?
Credit card issues?

ETA: this is the original email receipt I got from them, they call it a BA travel reservation.

How much does BA charge to do a flight change?
Relative booked the wrong flight time and he didn't do them Sep one ways. :/
$40. If its a domestic ticket rather cancel and rebook.

US this time!!
On AA it was easier to tell, it wouldn't say ticketed until the birthday is in.
With US it will say active, but the e-ticket won't be listed on the bottom of the page.

Not really so quick, hold times are ridiculous...

Today I cancelled three flights. One came right back in, and the other two, I got an email that they are processing the refund.. pretty weird because this never happened before. Anyone have this experience?

So I still haven't gotten the points back from two of the flights... has this happened to anyone else? I know I need to PUTPAC but I have no patience for the hold....

I had to call to get back points after canceling over the phone and some of the miles didn't come back until waiting forever to speak to someone.
But most of the taxes didn't get refunded and they said it could take up to 2 months!
Sounds ridiculous!

I'm trying to book a US airways flight with Avios on a particular day and while there's no award availability there are revenue seats that day.

What would happen if I booked the last flight the night before and I checked in and then missed my flight? Would they automatically re-book me on a flight the next morning even though there were no award seats then?

What would happen? And let me rephrase. Would they let me reschedule (as opposed to would they automatically reschedule)

Likely, you'd be SOL. You might be able to get someone to rebook you, but I definitely would n't rely on it.

Maybe get a refundable ticket as a back up

Huh? You mean not immediately upon shutting it? How long do they last?

So I can make my miles, keep 'em fresh in my BA account, and then close the account so as to avoid paying the $95 AF?
THANKS.
