BA Avios question(s)

Since  BA and usair Are now same alliance, if I want to purchase 2 tickets on one of the airlines using Avios for one ticket and usair miles for the second ticket, what is the best way to do this to make sure both tickets are available on the same flight  and that we then get the two seats together.

If there are two seats available then u should have no problem booking two seats. Seats just pick out online

You need to book each ticket on the airline's website that you want to book it with. For seats together you can PUTPAC

yes i know its been answered already, but one more time  canceling a flight from yyz-lga will i get any of the fees refunded or lose all $50

lose it.  fees went up.
cancel on the phone? I once had them refunded that way.

AA just told me on the phone, that they can't add a lap child because it is a BA ticket, she mentioned they would not even be able to do it in the airport...

I am thinking, hoping this is B.S correct?

I added my AA number using Finair.com It also doesn't show me that I am for sure getting free bags, were there any changes recently, (haven't flown this in a while) or is it the same status quo as it always was?

Thanks. It's worked in the past. Just with the merger and the site looking a drop differently. Gave me some concern. No sittiing on the flight that's 45 min delayed. Boohoo.

At this point you almost wish it was delayed long enough to get compensation. Not fun to be delayed when traveling with a child.

Children are behaving. Hot as he'll back here though. At least I wasn't on the earlier flight. That left on time and came back after 20 min

Quick update. Just spoke to Retention to get the AF waived after SM didn't pull through, and after discussing that I plan on taking my business (4 CC's and 2 Bank Acct's) elsewhere, the Rep offered 2.5 k avios. Wasn't gonna take that, I get that when I wake up in the morning...

Just found MileSAAver avail for a flight, called BA, and they said they can't book that ticket. Said not all MileSAAver flights can be booked with Avios. Is this true? Worst case, it was going to be 7.5K BA and if I have to use AA it'll be 12.5K, so not the worst thing in the world, but still seems weird.

Locally, BA is hard to beat.

The SWCP, is probably the one that may come close to it IMHO.
