Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

Since  BA and usair Are now same alliance, if I want to purchase 2 tickets on one of the airlines using Avios for one ticket and usair miles for the second ticket, what is the best way to do this to make sure both tickets are available on the same flight  and that we then get the two seats together.

If there are two seats available then u should have no problem booking two seats. Seats just pick out online

Do I call each airline separately or is there a way to do it in one transaction.

You need to book each ticket on the airline's website that you want to book it with. For seats together you can PUTPAC

AA just told me on the phone, that they can't add a lap child because it is a BA ticket, she mentioned they would not even be able to do it in the airport...

I am thinking, hoping this is B.S correct?

I added my AA number using Finair.com It also doesn't show me that I am for sure getting free bags, were there any changes recently, (haven't flown this in a while) or is it the same status quo as it always was?

Thanks a bunch guys.

Idk why I was getting concerned. Didn't ask for a penny when I checked my bags.

It happens. But now that you flew and know it works, it should be easier going forward.

Thanks. It's worked in the past. Just with the merger and the site looking a drop differently. Gave me some concern. No sittiing on the flight that's 45 min delayed. Boohoo.

At this point you almost wish it was delayed long enough to get compensation. Not fun to be delayed when traveling with a child.

Children are behaving. Hot as he'll back here though. At least I wasn't on the earlier flight. That left on time and came back after 20 min

Quick update. Just spoke to Retention to get the AF waived after SM didn't pull through, and after discussing that I plan on taking my business (4 CC's and 2 Bank Acct's) elsewhere, the Rep offered 2.5 k avios. Wasn't gonna take that, I get that when I wake up in the morning...

Just booked a trip to Dublin in October to watch a group of friends run the Dublin Marathon. I feel like I won the jackpot actually being able to use the BOS-DUB 25k avios + $110 YQ :) Thanks to this website.

 ???

Just found MileSAAver avail for a flight, called BA, and they said they can't book that ticket. Said not all MileSAAver flights can be booked with Avios. Is this true? Worst case, it was going to be 7.5K BA and if I have to use AA it'll be 12.5K, so not the worst thing in the world, but still seems weird.

[I never had AA points, so I always used my Avios to book on AA.  I just got my 100,000 AA points.]
But it seems that there's a $75 close in fee for booking an immediate flight.  Is this correct?  Is there a workaround?  Or is BA not only cheaper, but better all around?

@Yehuda - I would HUCA

Locally, BA is hard to beat.

The SWCP, is probably the one that may come close to it IMHO.

Another 1/2 hour on hold? Hmm... Booked on AA already. If I get super motivated, I'll call again.
