Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

I'm trying to book a flight ny to mia for me and my wife, my 2 year old son and 6 month old baby.
I cannot search online, it says I'm not allowed to book for others.

Anyone had the same problem?
I also read that infants should not be booked, and I should do that in the airport?

Do you have a 'family' account that your family is not part of?  Then you can't book for people not in the 'family'.  Perhaps you can do it on the phone IDK.
Otherwise, I always book for people that are not me.

Under 2 yo are added for free on the phone or at the airport.

I never had a family account, so I don't know the rules.  I think you can unlink yourself from the family account and then be free to book other people not on your account.
Everyone actually knowledgeable: please chime in to help this poor 'family' man book his actual family tickets so they can travel with him.

It's not free. ~$17.
Some have done it easily. Some have done it with difficulty. Others have missed flights because it couldn't be done/couldn't be done quickly enough

One reason to get to the airport with time to spare. Also gives one time to hit the lounge.

In LGA? YUL? YYZ? not so exciting.
That's why it's worth it to burn the 900 Avios that BA charges to add the infant at the time of booking. Rather save myself 1/2 hour and the headache rather than save 900 Avios.

True, though some refreshments before the flight and a bit more comfortable chair is nice.

900 is a joke and i have paid it before. I guess i am waiting until i actually have any issues at the airport and "learn a lesson" before i lay it out again.

Domestic don't book on line.
International, including Canada, is when there's the potential for a big hassle.  Book the infant on line with your booking.

Yes. There is availability Feb 27 LCY-JFK (Stop in SNN). Showing as 40,000 miles and $577.

Worth it to experience it once?

Has anyone done this? How does it compare to other ways of doing this route?

I have to do NYC-LON-NYC. I wanted to do one way as a once in a lifetime experience, I was debating between SQ F or LH F via FRA and then I came across this.

First would definitely beat this.
