Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

Ok, that explains part of it (or actually makes it even worse), but it's still over 8k miles of travel, which should put it into the 150k bracket, no?

Thx. If I don't have status but use an AA CC does my AA # need to be on the reservation or just using the card is enough?

Just the opposite. No need to use the card, just make sure your AA FFN is on the reservation.

So when i check in on AA it will just pick it up?  Nothing else to do?

Will the FFN flow instantly after I add it through finnair?

If you AA CC is linked to that AA FFN, you should automatically receive a free checked bag.

I just tried booking nyc to Israel via dusseldorf, and the ba site wants to charge me $57 in fees. And for the return trip it is tryin to charge me about $150.

Is this new with all the fees?

NYC-DUS-TLV is $62.26
TLV-DUS-NYC is $124.27
This isn't new, its the mandatory tax.

Check your Booking reference on BA.  confirm that the reservation is no longer there.
