Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

Amusing classic british airways automated voice accents makes the wait a lot less painful:

"make a new booking"
"inQUIries"
"SHedules"
"your car hire"
"an excess baggage allowance"
"if you're RINGING with any other inQUIry"
"please hold the line"
"prih-vacy"
I find the music cloying, though.  Almost nauseating.

That's normal, you'll have to call BA and book it by phone,
Tell them you weren't able to book it online and they won't charge you for booking by phone.

LOL I was just on the phone with their HK call centre and was humming the hold music to the agent until I realized what it was.

I noticed all of those Briticisms, too.
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

No
So give him a better idea!
I use BA domestically whenever they've got seats.  They're got the cheapest points tickets (domestically and within Europe).

no. yes.  check back obsessively constantly.
Is there a thread somewhere where the logic being Saaver award availability is explained. I want to know If a certain flight may open up. I've been checking daily for some time now, and the availability (on some other flights that day) just comes and goes. Weird.
Is there any logic behind it?

Re: Infant seats, I accidentally told the guy from BA that I'm bringing an infant. Is it possible to cancel her "Seat" online and get back the 750 Avios?

Also, the website wasn't working so I called (and got the fee waived) and he said that there's only 2 flights for me (NYC-MIA) that I can book 3 seats using Avios. Does that make sense? Would it help if I booked one seat at a time on a different flight?

Thanks.

Are you trying to book a seat for the infant?

Yes, I mean I booked one for her, but then saw here that I should book it at the airport for free. So can I still cancel her seat and get avios back?

You won't get a seat when adding at the airport. You just get to bring the infant for free as a lap child.

Sorry, that's what I meant. For my lap. Can I cancel a "lap seat", get refunded, and then book it at the airport?

Likely within 24 hours you can cancel the lap child.  Then you put her on at the airport like usual.
But for less than $10 it may not be worth the bother or the worry about it.  You'll do better next time.

A friend of mine is stranded in Dublin. He flew Aer Lingus from CDG to DUB on a revenue ticket, and had a ticket booked through BA on Aer Lingus to BOS. US customs held him up in Dublin and didn't let him go until 2 minutes after the door closed. The Aer Lingus and British Airways desks won't do anything to help him, and calling BA so far has yielded nothing..

Is there anything he can do?

They are counting it as a missed flight apparently. They wouldn't join the flights onto one itinerary in Paris, otherwise I think he would be in better shape..

Maybe try calling.  And different call centers.
Good luck.
Any availability to pay again just to get home and try to get credited later?
