Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

Interesting observation!
If I book a ticket with avios from NYC to LHR RT in business or first it would cost me 80k / 120k +approx. $1075 tax and YQ
If I book LHR NYC RT tax and YQ goes down to $865 approx.
I'm trying to figure out why?

I believe it has to do with transiting through LHR.

I have been watching flights from nyc to yyz on 2/12 returning 2/16 for 2 months now and i have 2 questions. 1) the availability has not changed virtually at all the entire time. Can i still expect it to change getting closer 2)the entire time there has been 0 availability for the return on any flight on any level on both BA and AA. That day is presidents day. Up thread some one said it does not mean it's a blacked out day and to keep watching. It doesn't sound right bc every other day that month has availability and that day has had zero for 2 months. What do others think? I need to decide if i should just book paid tickets before the price goes up

Has nothing to do with it being blacked out. That doesn't mean something will become available.
Why not hold tickets on AA every day and wait and see if something becomes available. Once you see the price go up and nothing has become available book the AA tickets
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

nyc - yyz ticket availability in my experience has been decent.
I find around a month before flying is when availability opens and then changes.
So hold on a little longer.

why would departing from LHR be more expensive than arriving there?

I meant to ask the opposite.
Tax when flying jfk lhr RT is more than flying lhr jfk RT

I don't know the answer to your question but I have noticed many times when buying paid tickets, NYC-LHR-NYC is always about $100/150 more then LHR-NYC-LHR

USAir agent (in PHL) told me once that as long as you are in the airport with in an hour of your scheduled departure, they will put you on the next flight if there is a seat open

I am trying to book tix using avios, however when I get to the results, it only shows the first four flights during the day, how do I get to the rest?
I know there are other flights available...

You're not doing anything wrong, it's a stupid flaw with their site which they never care to fix and your only recourse is to PUTPAC, tell them the issue (they are well aware) and they'll waive the phone booking fee.

To see those flight choices, though, use aa.com and look for nonstop sAAver fares.

That I know. That is how I knew they were available!! Its the calling part that I did not know, and the part that I dislike, they always have a forever wait time!!

Factually correct, but

Amusing classic british airways automated voice accents makes the wait a lot less painful:

"make a new booking"
"inQUIries"
"SHedules"
"your car hire"
"an excess baggage allowance"
"if you're RINGING with any other inQUIry"
"please hold the line"
"prih-vacy"

Im trying to do the trick on RJ since Finnair doesn't see to be working, however I keep getting an error message...
"Please provide us with a birthdate. (1429)"

Any idea how to get around this?

Apologize if this was already asked. Phl-tlv on search shows 30k ans $23. Yet when you proceed to booking it jumps to $330. A friend transferred in avios from amex thinking it was just $23. Is it possible to have them honor this?
