Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

Unless you have status with BA, no.
Thanks

Is there any benefit (miles, tier points etc...) to adding a BA FFN to a BA flight booked with avios?

TSA PreCheck has nothing to do with an AA FFN and there's no TSA PreCheck when flying BA.

There's no need for an AA FFN to be in a reservation to get TSA PreCheck, you can add your KTN into the reservation without adding your AA FFN.

Just had an interesting experience with the BA Singapore office, which I hope is not a sign of things to come.

I called trying to make an Avios booking because I was receiving an error message when doing it online, but almost immediately upon answering the phone the agent told me that because the address registered on the account is in the US, she is not allowed to help me and I have to call the US office when it opens. I tried 2 HUCAs and got the same thing each time.

Has anyone else ever had this happen? Is it possible that too many DDFers and DDMSers have been calling the Singapore office so they've instituted such a policy? Any ideas?

Change your address to a Singapore one just for the call.

I've called Hong Kong in the last few months.  Short wait. English. helpful.
I hope that Singapore is NOT a harbinger of things to come.

Dumb question but DW has a flight on US Airways in the early morning I just booked for her on Avios. What's the concern people have with BA messing up the DOB? She's already checked in with a boarding pass. Nothing to worry about?

What is the purpose of entering it? And what problem do people have with it? (it's a known BA glitch, I just don't understand what it is.)

TSA requires DOB.
When BA doesn't ask for it, sometimes you're not really ticketed.  ALWAYS check that you have a TICKET NUMBER, not just a confirmation code.  Once you have it, you're good to go.
If you've checked in, you had a ticket number.

Same for PHL-PBI, they have nothing for almost a month. Even F only one day
