Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.


NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

do you see the other transfer partners its under airlines. just make sure you signed it with sapphire preferred. plain and freedom cant transfer

I called them and it seems that you can only transfer to airlines from a sapphire preferred account. The account i was working with was downgraded to non-preferred. Sucks.

I tried doing that from my fathers account to mine and the rep told me it can only be from a spouse/domestic partner.

If I have 3 people booked onto one avios reservation, and one person is canceling, do I have to cancel the whole reservation and pay the taxes on all, or can I just cancel that one person and pay their taxes ?

The power of HUCA! Long story short after a couple of wildly unsuccessful attempts to send UR's from my fathers sapphire account to my sapphire preferred, i got a rep to do it. (The 1st couple of reps mechanically repeated "you can only send from your account to spouse or domestic partner"). Then she even transferred it from my account to my fathers BA account. So this was a way of bypassing the restriction of sending UR's from a non-preferred account to a non-spouse account. And also sending from my UR account to a different BA account!
