Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

Tried RJ as well; you can switch to English top right of the page. Asks for passport info, even on us domestic. More of a process (and didn't have it on my at the time), but I can just do that.

So since Finnair trick seems to be dead, I tried the RJ.  Trying to change FFN for two travelers.  After I drop down, choose AA, fill in the FFN and click "continue," I get this error message: "The following error(s) occured. Please provide us with a birthdate. (1429)"   The problem is, there's no place to put in a birthdate on that page.

Anyone have a similar issue and a fix?

Thanks

Try AA.com or PUTPAC AA.

Nope. Only flights operated by BA or Iberia.

There have been a lot of cheap revenue fares that are cheaper then using points such as

http://www.dansdeals.com/archives/77144

But if you are using points BA would be the cheapest at 7.5k each way everybody else is going to be 12.5k each way
If you think nobody cares about you... just forget to pay your credit card bill

Booking a flight from US to Canada now with BA and I'll be traveling with an infant. I know that Dan has mentioned that you can add the child to itinerary over the phone or even just at the counter. I told BA about the infant and they said that it's 10% of normal Avios rate plus taxes for a lap child even to Canada. So I told them that I'll be leaving the child behind and I plan on just showing up to the airport with my daughter and adding her then with AA directly. Did I do the right thing, or did the policy change?

I booked a BA award on AA a few days ago and everything was fine, my miles were debited and the taxes charged. Today, a day before my flight, I saw on "manage my booking" that my flight was canceled. I checked on AA and the flight wasn't actually canceled.

I called BA and they said my 'flight' (reservation) was canceled, and it was never even ticketed, because AA was missing information. The issue here is that there aren't any more award seats left on the flight and I need to be on that specific flight. They wanted to put me on a different flight or have me upgrade and pay the mileage difference. I said it was their system's fault because I had filled out everything they asked for, had a BA booking reference, and already had my miles and taxes debited! After an hour (!) of back and forth, waiting on hold, being transferred to Executive Club, etc, they finally offered to get me a paid seat on that flight - not as an award. They said I'd be emailed the new information.

A few minutes latter I saw the new flight on my BA booking reference (the previous one is still there, crossed out in red). Many hours later and I still haven't received an email from them. It is less than 24 hours before the flight and AA won't let me check in.

I called AA reservations, told them the whole story and the woman there confirmed I was on the AA manifest for that flight. But we wanted to be sure, and I was wondering why I couldn't check in; so I waited on hold while she spoke to AA ticketing, and then we both waited on hold (close to 20 min) while ticketing spoke to BA. The message passed back, and the rep at reservations doesn't understand it herself, is that I'm still not ticketed and need to call BA reservations back and ask them to call their AA liaison.

Anyone have any input before I head back into the lions den?

It's all good now. I called BA and they resolved the whole thing fairly quickly. Sorry for all the drama...

My paid booking with BA (TLV-LHR) in Q is not upgradable with avios online. Will it be possible over the phone?
(Yes, I know I can PUTPAC to find out but trying to save time)

Update: Called AA after I hung up with BA and they added my daughter to the itinerary (as well as for several other flights that I have booked). Was the AA rep correct in saying that it's normal for my daughter to be listed on the reservation for flights to Canada but not on domestic flights? She said something about how for domestic flights, my daughter will only be listed on internal AA notes.

How long after I cancel a BA award should I see the miles credited back to my account?
