Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

As a person who flies sporadicly to no predictable locations, are Avios a recommended program to credit my AA flights to, considering their longer expiration policy, and their ability to transfer to Iberia?  If yes, I am flying a short TW flight with AA soon, should I credit the flight to Iberia or BA? I currently have no activity on either, and I want to be eligible for transfers between the two.  Also, I will get a small bonus (200) if I show activity on Iberia within 30 days.
I am new to this forum, so I apologize for the freshiness, and for not being able to contribute much yet.

I had an AA flight booked with BA, which AA cancelled. I got an email from BA that they rebooked me on a different flight which is a bit too early. Who do i call for a different flight, AA or BA? Can I get them to put me on one which does not have award space? If so, I would think only AA can do that, not BA since if no award space, BA has no access? Anyone know?

If your flights tend to be within the US (or within Europe) then BA is king.  In the US they put you on AA planes using (far) fewer points than AA charges for their own planes.  I don't know which partner they use in Europe, but the BA award flights are likewise a great buy.
It sounds like you'd benefit from crediting today's miles to Iberia - for both your bonus and to 'activate' your Iberia account. BA needs no activation to transfer to Iberia and back.

Try Qatar and keep trying sometimes works sometimes doesnt

Why do we have to go through the whole hassle of trying to change the ffn via finnair, RJ, Qatar..., why not just call AAdvantage desk and have them swap the BA ffn for the AA one?

I got stuck with all three carriers above (something about needing birthdates) I just called and got them fixed.

i booked a flight last tuesday and cancelled it wednesday, but only received 1/2 of the taxes back (5.60 and not 11.20)
i booked a flight last wednesday and cancelled it thursday (more than 24 hours later, bc they had a systems issue and they told me not to worry), and i havent received any taxes back.
yesterday i called and they said i should be getting the taxes back.

regarding both cases, are they normal? do i need to be more patient?
Thanks

$55 change fee, so it's the same to just cancel/rebook

How can I get my CX record locator when I booked the ticket on BA.com. There's no option to select seats.
I like vanilla but my name is Venilla.

CX is the same record locator as BA.
