Hi all:

I'm trying to book two tickets on a one way flight from Berlin to NYC with a departure date of September 12 on Air Berlin. I see availability on Expertflyer, but when I search on BA's website for tickets on AB, it doesn't appear (all I see are BA/AA tickets). When I search on IB, the AB flight does appear, but the cost is 23,000 points and almost 200 GBP per ticket. I thought the rate should have been 20,000 points, and under 100 GBP per ticket. Did something change recently, or am I doing it wrong?

I PUTPAC'ed, and I was quoted the same prices as I found online.

So my questions remain:

1)has Air Berlin recently added substantial fees to their bookings with Avios? All the posts I see claim that a one-way ticket from DUS to NYC should have fees of under $100, but I'm seeing closer to $300;
2) Does Iberia impose higher fees than BA?
3) Is there any way to check award availability on certain partner airlines using Expertflyer? For example, I see that certain dates are available for awards with Air Berlin, but then BA and AA tell me when I call to book that AB might have availability, but that they have not released it to them.

Use BA website, but it doesn't work if you click manage my booking link from the confirmation email.

If you are having a lot of trouble doing it online PUTPAC AA. It was a 5 min phone call when I did it.

on ba.com after entering info, i get window that i have successfully entered the following ff# and the the field is blank!

Can I book an Airberlin ticket using Avios and take advantage of their companion ticket for 50%? Or is that only using topbonus miles?
