Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

I have been having issues as well making reservations online with the BA app and website. I called BA and the agent had no issues finding the availability for the AA flights I was looking for. Upon further inquiry regarding booking issues online over the last 48 hours, I was told that they are making tweaks to the system over the next few days in order to roll-out the ability to display and book AS award availability directly from the BA website in the coming "days" (most likely weeks).

AA is not releasing seats to partners.
I've begun to despair that it won't ever change back.
They Don't have saver availability, which is whats released to partners

Hmmm...
Anybody else having trouble searching for flights with Avios?
I get this:

Error
There was a problem with your request, please try again later.

US domestic searches fail for me pre-Jan 10, but work Jan 11 or later. Looks like an unfortunate side-effect of the change, hopefully they resolve quickly.

I'm looking for BA Avios ticket on 1/31 MIA-YYZ. I see availability for 1 ticket on AA.com but not for 2. How likely 2nd will become available after a grab 1st?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Does being part of a household account count as activity for all accounts that are part of the household ?

Book the 1st ticket with BA, and if a 2nd doesn't become available, you only lose the $5.60 in taxes when you cancel.

I got through to rep. on phone. Said website is having trouble booking for "few days". After searching for my flight and finding availability he was not able to book me, or cancel an existing reservation which is within 24 hours till 1am tonight.

They are closing now. When I click on cancellation options for this flight I get message "We are unable to process a refund for you online. Please contact us for all refund enquiries."(their spelling).

Have you tried calling their office in Singapore? I always get the most competent help from them.

Booked a round trip ticket for my mother hoping things were going to go well, but things changed(grandfather was niftar-bde) and now they tell me you can't cancel mid flight tickets (mid booking) One leg of the trip was used but the return was not used(not going to be used which is scheduled for 8pm tom) I told them and they say we could push off the ticket for you for a month and give us a call again in a month and if needed more time we can work with that.

Is this really the true about canceling a round trip ticket? Would have never booked a round trip ticket have I known! Assuming my only option is HUCA? Tia

To spare others, being part of a household doesn't extend the lifetime of all household members, only extends those that had activity.
This Is part of a response from BA .

To keep your Avios active you need to collect, spend, purchase or transfer Avios at least once every three years. In fact, it is one of the conditions of membership that if you have no eligible activity on your account for a period of three years your Avios are removed. If you are in a Household Account these conditions apply to each individual Member.

Maybe ur right- but-- when you use miles from a household acct for anyone on the household acct -- don't they deduct a proportional amount from "everyone" and that constitutes activity -- this what I remember

my wife has very small amnt miles - i have very large -- when i book a ticket they deduct from "our" accts in proportion to miles "each"has

If they deduct from both then you should be fine.
