BA Avios question(s)

im trying to make a avios booking that shows availability on AA but not shoeing up on BA and when i call BA they said its not available.
any ideas?

Had the same issue recently. Nothing i did helped. HUCAed many times and never showed up. Booked with AA in the end.

If I want to go to Florida from NY on points (I have chase sapphire) is Avios the way to go? Also, if I have 2 children under 2 can both go free- one as lap with wife, 1 with me?

at 7500 point per ticket it is prob the best if you find availability. check for availability before you transfer points (it is instant)

Hardly a surprise. AA has been atrocious with their domestic awards lately.

No.
It just depends on AA releasing Saaver seats. Only solution is to check again and again.

Put it on hold with AA online, then call and have them remove the extra segments.

Will that reduce the miles amount to the "correct amount"?

It's a married segment or hidden city?

Married segment not sure. Doesn't hurt to try.

When you call to remove the first segment, they should tell you if the mileage will increase. If they say it does, argue that that doesn't make sense...

Do they usually release them closer to date (looking for end of Jan)? Stopover flights do pop up just not direct..

i made a AA reservation with avios and then changed my  ffn to my AA ffn. how do i cancel it now if its not showing up in my ba account?

Lately I have been finding more availability thru BA.com then on AA for AA metal award flights....

BA was able to cancel w/o me changing FFN
