I found a flight from MIA - AUA for 15k points on AA. How many points will that be if/when I book through BA?

Assuming its not showing up on ba.com
check for yourself the distance and see if its its cheaper on ba.com
Hope that helps you with your question , i don't know the distance between the two destinations so i cant tell you an answer but once you have that plug it in and see if its cheaper and call ba to book.

Call to book over the phone then, they will gladly help you when you tell them the site Is giving you errors! (they should not charge you a booking fee over the phone.)
IME they always waived the booking fee when I told them phone keeps on jumping to a different date or...

I booked a ticket on AA with BA miles and i want to change it within 24hrs of the flight to an earlier flight the same day.
I called AA 6 times got varied answers from: you have to talk to BA and you cant change it at the airport either, there are plenty of seats available and i see you paid 12.5k aa to change i will have to charge you 20k aa or pay $75 at the airport, no problem but only 1 seat availble.

does anyone know if they will let me pay the $75 to change at the airport or not?

Call ba to change? (because that's whom you booked it with)

I did not b.c they don't show any availability on the flight I want and b.c in the past they would not talk to me abt changes to an AA flight that is in less than 24hrs that was booked with BA

Officially the time to cancel or change an award booking with ba is Within 24hrs of the booking and it has to be 24 hours prior to the flight that your changing the booking.(Within 24hrs of the flight they give you a hard time.)

Do you see the availability on aa.com? (as an AaMileSaverAward ) if yes you can call ba to book that flight for you, assuming it's the same 12.5k you originally booked.
And to cancel a flight you would only loose the taxes(IIRC) which I don't think is more then $75 which is what you plan on doing.

There is no saver award available which is why I'm trying to find out if the standby option AA offers will apply to a flight booked with BA points
