Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

From my experience, sometimes they don't automatically associate it with your BA number, then you can just add your AA number on aa.com, but if they put in your BA number, you'll need the workaround to change it to your AA number.

How do I change it to add my advantage number?
Also, would that give me 1 free luggage?

Just thought of something, not sure if it was discussed earlier in this thread. When canceling a BA award flight, you lose taxes. Would that amount be covered by Amex assurance/ return protection or one of the other programs? Anyone ever tried to claim that? ($11 is really not a big deal, just curious if it has been done).

What is BA avios cancellation policy.

Is there free Cancellation within 24 which is also 3 days before the flight?

Can I book a hotel using Avios?
If I book a flight and hotel at same time, would I get a better deal?

AA will charge you for the checked bag ($25?), but you can check one.

sometimes, yes.
And how long before the flight is a fair time to see if they will?  2 weeks before the flight? Or closer to it

no specific time is more fair than others,

if you want to book a flight that's x available you just keep looking back daily, even many times a day... (my experience)

Look at the AA baggage policy.  (Don't take me so literally.  :) )
You have the same rights as any other AA passenger.

Can you  book a single avios flight (on AA) with an overnight stop over?

I want to go to Curacao through Miami in a few weeks. I can only leave at night though. The night flight to Miami is available and then I can catch the, also available, morning flight onto Curacao in the morning. Will they let me book that as one flight if I call up? Or should I just book them individually online.

oh, really! I was going to call anyway to book the return flights. Are you saying that booking two separate flights with Avios is the same price as one with a stopover, always?
