If you have a household you can only book travel for up to 5 people that are not part of your household account.
And you can only change that list of 5 people once every 6 months.

What's your reason to combine it? The only advantage I see in a household account is when you have a few small accounts from flying and can't add more points from( a cc).
Otherwise you can add more points to your BA account (from MR or UR) and book tickets for anyone.

I havent found any benefit except it shows a total balance of all the points you have in the household, and it does create an annoyance when trying to book a ticket for someone not in the family

Any tricks to double booking a single award seat? I found a rare award seat but only one is showing up-I tried putting it on hold on AA under two accounts simultaneously, but only one account could hold it-the other one just said no longer available. Any ideas?

Maybe try calling ba to book it and put it on hold right before they book or call aa to hold out and book it right before they hold it. Let us know if you figure it out.

I have an Avios reservation on AA from Montreal to NY, and I'd like to add an infant. Called AA a couple of times and they said I have to do it through BA since they issued my ticket. Should I be able to add the infant at the airport in Montreal without any trouble, or do I need to find an agent on the phone to do it for me before?

Ideally Y, but the most important thing was to have tickets for the flight (If I were traveling solo I would have booked an earlier flight in Y and rolled the dice, but because we are 3 pax, it may be hard to get seats on the flight I needed as standby (plus it would be a nightmare traveling with 2 kids on standby))
And thankfully the BA deval didn't effect this route

Does a flight from NYC-YYZ get free baggage with the AA master card? It says only Domestic but when I called AA they said it looks like i get the free bags.
