I once had the same problem. I worked through BA. It was a major hassle.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you get a new ticket number in the new name. I didn't and she didn't have a ticket at the gate!

Where are you getting errors? Im getting all the way to the payment page....just dont need to book a ticket now

What is the best way to book Avios flights? Someone advised me to call the BA singapor office? Is this true? Why not just do it online?

Online is the simplest. However, if it shows on AA as saver and doesn't come up on BA you'd want to call.

I booked a avios short haul flight for 2 adults 1 child and we have a lap child. It turns out one adult is not going and i want to add a paid ticket for the lap child. Will he be able to fly on Adult reservation or should i cancel and rebook?

I don't think they'll let you change the name and birthday so you'll probably have to cancel/rebook.

Good point. However IME they don't ask children for ID, so can we just say he's the adult? Is it specified on the reservation who is a adult and who is a child?

You can use the adult ticket for the kid if you are comfortable about saying an untruth, or you have some other way around it. Afaik, tsa does not see the birthdates.

I need to book an infant on his own ticket reservation, and BA is not letting me book a child avios ticket w/o putting in a adult as well. Can I just book him as an adult without an issue ?
