Though, sometimes it could be cheaper to just change the date.

Trying to book ewr to ord. Aa shows saver availability. On BA website there is nothing. I called executive club and they say that aa has more inventory? I thought that if there was saver space then I can book it with avios?

When I call AA to book me a flight I don't see on BA.com do I use AA Miles or BA points ??

No idea what you're talking about, but if you're calling AA you're only going to be able to use AAdvantage miles.
You're probably asking about booking AA flights that you don't see on BA website. For that; you check AA.com to see if there's saver availability on your dates. After confirming that there is saver space available on the AA flight you want, you call BA (NOT AA) with the flight details and ask them to book it for you.

You use whichever airline that is booking it for you, not the actual airline that operates the flight.
But AA Saaver rate flights are usually best booked with BA using Avios, due to better cancellation terms.

I'm trying to book ma flight from NYC to MIA British airways.com doesn't show any availability. I understood from the BA tricks that you can call AA and they will book it for you since on their website it is available and I'll be charged according to BA millage chart. My question though is where do I need to transfer my chase points to Avios or AA?

if mile saaver is available, and its not showing on BA, either youre doing something wrong, or you need to call BA to book it. With Avios.
