Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

I am doing some preliminary research for a vacation next year to Italy (from BWI area) and have determined that I need to do at least two legs (BWI - [random airport] - LHR) and (LHR - [random Italian airport). As far as LHR-VCE, we'll say, I have been looking at BA and their pricing makes no sense to me.

(For economy) I can use 6500 Avios and pay $55.71, or I can pay 104 pounds ($85)...am I missing something?
A) BA has a direct BWI-LHR flight every evening.
B) 104 GBP is approximately $127 USD.

A) ...Unless I dreamed it, last time I looked at flying BA it came with a $1300 surcharge. I'm not sure what I did wrong that time, but thanks for pointing it out so that I didn't continue thinking that.
B) Went the wrong way with the exchange rate  ::)

BA charges fuel surcharges (YQ) on BA or AA flights into London. Approx $285 one way out of the D.C. area.
Don't forget off-peak days are much cheaper mileage then peak days.

Looked at my recent transactions and found 1k miles credited on 10/20 with "bonus for collecting with new partner" in the description. (I transferred 30k from MR on 10/8.) Anyone else notice this?

Effective with flights starting January 11, while American is still calling its premium cabin first class, they’re using business class fare buckets.

As a result British Airways appears to be going from charging 30,000 points one-way to charging just 15,000 for flights up to 1150 miles.

UR transfer 1:1 and MR 1:.75 so generally UR is better but if you have lots of MR and are short on UR you might want to use MR

I'm sure this has been discussed in the past, but I didnt see it. Why is there next to no award availability on BA/AA flights?

I'm trying to book NYC->YYZ roundtrip very far out (April/May) and I'm only seeing 1 award ticket per day...any work around to that?

AA is not releasing seats to partners.
I've begun to despair that it won't ever change back.

I just signed on here to ask the same question. I thought I was searching the wrong way. You're trying through https://www.britishairways.com/travel/redeem/execclub/_gf/en_us  right?

I don't know if this has anything to do with it but i called AA yesterday for an award flight to/from PPT (use AA points on ATN) and the systems were all messed up. They couldn't access ATN's availability. Maybe BA can't access AA availability ATM. They told m me to try again today.
