Did they change the website and if you are not on the flight then you need to call to book?

What makes a ticket bookable via avios and AAawardmiles
I see lots of aaanytime miles for a flight going from NYC-YYZ but nothing bookable via avios on ba, used to see lots of bookable flights for 7.5k avios going from nyc to Toronto, its not like they dont fly to yyz if you look at aaAnytime avlbitlity there's lots to choose from.

And in j/f theres only avlbty in a months time, love it for the last minute ability to book not having to book a month in advance.

That's correct what makes the flight go into that category meaning bookable via sAAver?
Theres lots of AAanytime avlb but no Saver?

This falls under the purview of the airline’s revenue management department. They use complex data sets to predict the chances of a seat going unsold and collateral damage, and then release it. Anytime awards of available on any flight that has revenue seats.

What changed in the past 2 years while availability was plentiful with many open dates at any given time, while the past few year it was scarce.
You saying that more tickets are being sold?

If what your saying is true does that make room for availability when looking a few hours before the flight?

What can I do with a Travel Together Ticket that is expiring soon? I don't have plans to fly on BA anytime soon...

Nothing, I had one expire last year,decided not to use because of the crazy high taxes, you should be travelling yourself with the free companion , otherwise it will just expire worthless.

like a Nyc - london Rt paid economy on ba ,would have high taxes and fuel surcharges for the companion?

I used it 3 years ago for first class one way, the taxes are too high, needed to pay taxes for me and the companion.

yes. It's $55 or taxes. Whichever is cheaper

seeing this when i try to book for someone else

Due to restriction on ba.com, you must be a passenger to make this booking with Avios.

To make this booking for someone else, please contact yourlocal Executive Club service center.

calling has me on hold forever, anyway around this?

If your hurry is about keeping Avios alive, I think they post retroactive to the shopping date, so they bring your avios back to life.
