Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

What happens if someone that's obese wants to buy a ticket with avios but he can't really fit in one seat? Does he have to buy 2 or is there a rule about it?

What makes that an avios specific question? More of a general question, no? Do u have to buy 2 when u buy direct?

And what happens if he buys 2 tickets, and upon boarding he learns that they assigned him 1 seat in row 1 and the other seat in row 10?
Is there anything he could do?

I need to book 2 passengers on an AA flight via BA. The flight I need only has 1 award ticket left, but there is another flight earlier in the day with award availability (which I absolutely can not use). It was suggested to me that I should book 1 pax on each flight and then sdc from the earlier flight to the later one for the 2nd pax. I checked regular availability for that later flight, and there's at least 6 seats available.

1. The earlier flight is at 8:50 AM, can I already call to sdc the night before?
2. What happens if there are no seats available on the later flight? Would I be able to cancel both tickets and get refunded, or would it be too late for that?
3. Are there any fees to sdc an award ticket? AA.com is a bit ambiguous on this.

I have zero experience with sdc so any help would be appreciated. I had originally posted in the award ticket thread, but this seemed like a better place for my followup. Thanks.

You book both seats on the same record with the second passenger listed as EXTRASEATMR etc. Airlines have policies for such cases.

The fact that I want to change from LGA to JFk makes a difference?

Understood, but how could it be booked together?  It seems like the search will only show an itinerary if the arrival and departure are on the same date, is there a way to book my itinerary

Try over the phone and ask them to waive the fee.

Is there any way to force the system to show flights that I confirmed are available on AA with BA? For example, Tomorrow from ORD-LGA, the last flight showing is 3:30pm, and I want to go at 4:50pm. BA says its available, but its not showing....?
