Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

you need to pay the taxes,  I've done it before at the airport, but you can do it over the fone as well
Can you do it over the phone with aa and not pay the 900 extra BA points ?
I called AA and they said they cant do it and need to transfer me to BA

Why when I try to price out DXB - SYD QF on BA I get an error sign, but when in routes through HKG it works.

Is this a fifth freedom?

ETA: When I price it out on AA, it says in red, "Service between DXB and SYD is subject to government approval."

What does this mean?

I am fairly new to Avios... Im finding it very difficult to find availability. I see that there is saver availability on AA, but it doesn't come up on BA's website.. How do I go about booking them with avios? Do i need to call BA to book? or, does that just mean that Avios wont work?

I did it before for family members so it should be. I don't see why not.

Not so sure its the safest thing. Did the family members have the same last name?

Then it could be ok, but booking for someone with a different name may be an issue.

IIRC there was someone that posted recently who had his Avios account closed with 200K after booking for a buisness partner. In any case I just booked for this friend and I am hoping for the best.

The business partner used his own cc to pay the taxes. That made it more complicated.

Wait. Someone else just made me a ticket using their avios, different last name. They used their Paypal. Should i be concerned? Should they cancel the ticket.

+1
If you decide to book for s/o else, try to use the account holder's CC for the purchase.

I believe if they had paid for your ticket with a cc in their name, you should be fine.

Searched and didnt see the answer to this. If i book 2 pax flying domestically on the same reservation and then decide to cancel one of them... can i cancel just one ticket and lose the taxes and let the other ticket remain intact? im assuming this doesnt work but figured id ask if anyone here knows more or has tried it
