Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

If I have an aa card my understanding is that I can get free baggage with a mileage ticket from ba.com

My question is, if I book 2 tickets for myself and a friend on ba.com (same itinerary) with miles, and add my aa number in, will both of us get free bags (like normal) or just me?
Both

I am a rookie and want to learn more about using miles for flying. Currently, I have 100K of British Avios, 90K of Ultimate rewards, (from Chase Saphirre), and 100K of AA miles.

Can someone please link articles or discussions in the forums, so I can learn how to best use my miles.

One of my q's is which miles I should use to fly domestically (from NY to LA or Chicago) and which I should use for international flights (from NY to Israel.). This has definitely been discussed ad nauseam, but unfortunately I cannot locate it in a clear and concise manner.

I tried searching...

Thanks and sorry for the ignorance.

i booked a ticket for my father from my BA account and i coudnt add his AAdvantage number thru finnair.com, so i just logged into his AA account found the itinerary and it let me add his aadvantage number to the reservation without a problem.

was this always allowed? will he now get his regular AA benefits?

I added my AA number to a BA booking and now I want to cancel my ticket. Not showing in BA anymore as I switched the FF account. Finnair is not letting me switch it back. What's the best workaround?

Booking BA - AA from LGA to YYZ.
Only flights available are earlier in the day. If I book an earlier flight and show up to the airport hours later to try to standby on a later flight, what happens if there are no seats on the later flights?

you don't get on. very unlikely though unless there is bad weather and a lot of flights are canceled

I understood that, wasn't expecting them to put me in the overhead bins  :P
I meant what happens to my ticket?

Is one allowed to show up after a flight departs and attempt to standby on a later flight on the same day? I.e., does the original ticket become null and void after the original flight departs? If so, how does standing by on a flight later than the ticketed one work?

there is a 740 and 920. I think you'd be fine. what would happen if you didn't get on, I don't know. worst comes to worse, you book a new ticket for the next morning

that route has become nearly impossible. still plenty of routes where you can find (NYC-cle, NYC-ord, NYC-yyz to name a few)
