AFAIK, if you have the actual ticket number, you're good.

You can also see if you have a ticket number on CMT. I've never had an issue as long as it showed the ticket # there.

+1, all of the problems are when they don't send you a ticket number in the confirmation email.

I just signed up for CMT and put in the confirmation number and it came up okay. It says confirmed and has all the info, including the e-ticket number, etc.

So, if someone books an AA flight through BA, as far as the AA site is concerned, you don't exist (i.e. no way to check anything regarding that flight even though it is on their airline)?

I guess I don't understand what the earlier posts are referring to when they are saying that their BA reservation didn't get ticketed and that the confirmation email is meaningless. That's all I got too...

I (obviously) never booked through BA before, so this is all new to me, so thanks.

Ah, okay--I clearly have an e-ticket number there, so that's good to know.

To check your rsvn on AA, you need to get their PNR/Confirmation #.

Sometimes you can get that on CMT as well, but I haven't been successful recently.

You may also find it on finnair.com?

Of course, you can PUTPAC BA/AA to get it.

speaking of that post ... it mentions that occasionally you get a free checked bag by booking with Avios... assuming you dont have an AA card or statys, how do you go about know if you get a free bag or not ?

Is it at all possible to set an alert on systems like EF, KVS, Nexus etc, for a seat becoming available on Air Berlin (using Avios)?

Its a ticket. Once you get a confirmation then you have a ticket.

I don't get your question. If anyone buys a ticket how can they be sure it will work? That why you get a confirmation number.

I was told people have issues if they didnt enter their birthday. Have you never heard of this?
MY ticket is for Cape town so I dont want to be stuck there!
