Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

I'd like to fly BA from JFK-LHR in premium economy.

The price is 60k plus lots of Fuel Charges

If I book that on Iberia will there still be fuel surcharges?

Yes

Iberia's Avios does lower YQ, but only when flying on Iberia Metal, CMIIW.

I booked 2 AA tickets using Avios from YYZ to LGA and paid the fees on my Citi Advantage card. I was charged a Foreign transacton fee, as BA is based in London. I dont recall that in the past. Is it normally charged from London? I checked my credit card statement for a different ticket I purchased recently with Avios; and the fee was charged from NY. IS there a difference if originating in Canada?

I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Good to know I've been using AA card to pay fees when booking with BA. I'll just use Sapphire next time then.

I think officially you only get free bags if you booked with the AA card. Am I right about that?

Wrong.
† First checked bag free
From https://www.aa.com/i18n/AAdvantage/earnMiles/beyondTravel/creditDebit/citi-platinum.jsp
"For benefit to apply, the Citi® / AAdvantage® account must be open 7 days prior to air travel AND, reservation must include the primary cardmember's American Airlines AAdvantage® number 7 days prior to air travel. If your credit card account is closed for any reason, these benefits will be cancelled. Eligible Citi® / AAdvantage® primary cardmembers may check one bag free of charge when traveling to domestic destinations on flights marketed and operated by American Airlines, or on flights marketed by American Airlines and operated by American Eagle Airlines, Inc., SkyWest Airlines, Inc., ExpressJet Airlines, Inc., Republic Airline Inc., or Chautauqua Airlines, Inc. These benefits will not be available for travel on codeshare flights booked with an AA flight number but operated by another airline. For the Citi® / AAdvantage® card, up to four customers traveling with the eligible primary cardmember will also get their first checked bag free of charge if they are listed in the same reservation. Waiver does not apply to overweight or oversized bags. This benefit cannot be combined with any existing AAdvantage® elite program benefits, including any waiver of baggage charges. Please see aa.com for baggage weight and size restrictions. Additional terms, conditions and restrictions may apply. Applicable terms and conditions are subject to change without notice."

You seem to be correct, but I vaguely remember otherwise. Possibly the AA agent on a recent flight out of Philly told me that when checking in as a reason not to get free bags. I won in the end, but it was a hassle.???
