Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

That's vvveeerrryyyy long flights..... No?

Delta direct. I would pay a couple hundred dollars more to fly direct when a baby is involved.

It's not a couple of hundred dollars. Let's conservatively value BA at 1.1. 1700 + 660 = 2330. Delta is 1098 * 3 = 3300 (and according to kayak there are only 2 seats available at that price). If you want to add in the delta miles earned (which I'm not sure the OP would even end up using you can take away $300, still a $700 price difference)
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

My mistake I was reading that he has a baby, but now rereading it I see he has a child, so I guess the child is a regular fare.

Really should donate http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=33265 for a chance to win a free Delta flight (and possibly two)

Yeah, I was starting to think we were miscommunicating about that point :)
Thanks for the explanation, Ergel

So, just making sure before the 24 hours end: since the cheapest flights that I've found (using ITA) would cost in total $2659, and we are paying 60,000 Avios and $1690, that works out to 1.6 cents per mile (96900/60000), which is good, right? I don't really have use for short haul domestic flights using Avios as I don't live in America.

How do I book a multi city trip with avios?
I'm looking to book a trip from JFK to TLV and stop in London for a full day, but when I try to book with avios I'm not seeing all the flights as when I search for a multi city flight.

FYI - AS J books in class "A", so even if you are traveling intl you will still get charged triple miles for "F".

when ever i look for a flight on AA for BA, i always get the milesaaver award grayed out. If i go up 1 level, there is no point in avios points. idk if its the time or year, or location im choosing, but its frustrating....also when i go to the BA site, i get a lot of errors...

Booked a short-haul on AA using BA.
On AA.com, my BA FF# is hard coded, not allowing me to change it to my AA FF#.  Anyone with similar recent experiences?

you can go to qantas.au, and change it there. Just enter your BA confirmation # and last name
