Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

Thanks for the quick response!  Too bad - not what I was hoping...-- so what's the point of calling within 24hrs per some of the other posts....  or are they mistaken...

Once when I cancelled within 24 hours of the flight, the points were refunded.  The agent on the phone was surprised and said she won't tell if I won't.

On second thought, this was when my son missed his flight.  I called  a week later to see if I could get anything back and that's when I was surprisingly credited with the return of my points.

Are you looking on aa.com? Often flights that are available don't show up on BA's site.

My daughter's local airport is FLL.  I used to see a whole day of flights DIRECT to NY.  Yesterday I looked to book and there were only stopover flights on BA.  Same on AA.  I hope this is not the new normal.
I found her a round trip direct from PBI, B"H.

Has anyone had an experience of how long a transfer from BA Avios to Iberia Avios takes?

I'm just wondering if anyone can confirm for a fact as I spoke to Iberia today and they said it should take 3 days.

Hey guys I'm trying to book a flight and it showed availablity on American airlines website but when I plugged in the dates on ba.com they didn't show any flights.  After looking into it further I noticed that the flights were operated by US Airways. Can I book a us airways flight with avios? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am looking to go to Las Vegas over the Veteran's Day weekend- Nov6 through Nov 13. I prefer a refundable route just in case my plans don't work out.  American is only showing non direct flights so far and I dont want to spend all day going and coming. My other option is to book non-refundable cash tickets using my aa gift cards, but I am reluctant. AA does have good non-stop flights for cash. Does anyone know the likelihood that aa will offer these flights for points in the future or should I take my chances for the cash non-refundable flights? I was hoping to use ba points on aa so that I could cancel for almost free if I have to. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

:D   You got me there!

advice: everyone feel free to chime in:  don't obsess about looking now every day.  Such seat don't go like hot cakes this early.

I checked NYC - LAS round on your dates.  I got 2 non stop coming home. and NOTHING going.

Book the one way and check back every few days for a flight going there.

the flight back is early in the morning and I prefer an afternoon flight. Do you think other flights will open up? And if they do and I don't see them on ba, can I call ba and they will have them? or if I dont see them on ba, I cant get them? Thanks so much for your time and trouble
