Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

the flight back is early in the morning and I prefer an afternoon flight. Do you think other flights will open up? And if they do and I don't see them on ba, can I call ba and they will have them? or if I dont see them on ba, I cant get them? Thanks so much for your time and trouble

After 3/31 you'll be able to book US Airways flights with Avios.

Any flight available as sAAver on aa.com can be booked with avios. Not all BA agents know this, so you may have to tell them to speak to a supervisor.

Even if it is not listed on the BA site, if a sAAver flight is available on aa, I can ask a supervisor and I can get it?

Yes. Maybe mention the flight number on which you saw availability.

Does not make a dif. You will have to show them the card at check in. Also its only free on certain cards.

Visa signature platinum level?
I am pretty sure that's the one I have. Some times they wont say anything and sometimes they will. I was asked for it in PHL and the ticket was booked on ba points.

BA avios benefits when flying on AA
« Reply #1111 on: January 13, 2014, 08:06:28 PM »
I booked a flight from JFK-ORD using Aivos points and I was granted Priority access even though I have no status with either airline. Is this normal? I would like to know for the future.

I'm trying to book a from nyc to Toronto for myself and my wife and when I went to checkout they showed me that roundtrip would cost 18000 avios together plus $110.78. Do you always have to pay extra charges when booking with avios?

That's the standard. Canada taxes.

Taxes on the Toronto to NY  leg.  NY to Toronto is 4500 Avios and $2.50 each.
