Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

And even at the airport, you might or might not get it.

24 hours before check in, do online check in, you can always add bags and change seats later. You will see then on your boarding pass of you have it or not...

-1 I've booked tons of flights with avios and they've always been priority access on the boarding pass.

No that wont make it or break it. I have flown many times with it and have always gotten priority access.  The most it has ever gotten me was to get on the plane in the beg as oppose to waiting until the end of the boarding call.

The following is all it gets you and in my experience also that is all i have gotten over the years.

Exclusive Boarding Lanes at Every Gate

Priority Access lanes are available at American Airlines gates system wide, offering a fast track to board the aircraft.

Customers with Priority Access privileges are among the first to board the plane. Our AAdvantage® Executive Platinum members will board with either First Class or Business Class passengers* followed by our AAdvantage® Platinum and Gold members, and then all other Priority Access customers. Should you arrive at the gate after Priority Access customers have been called, you may bypass the General Boarding lines and enjoy the convenience of boarding anytime via your new dedicated boarding lane.

Simply look for the Priority Access sign in the gate area.

Question - on AA (and BA for that matter) there seems to be no availability for this upcoming friday from NYC to either MIA, PBI or FLL as an award ticket. However when I searched on ITA Matrix they have many flights available. Is there a chance they are going to open up more award tickets on these flights in the next few days if the flights don't sell out?

TIA

A chance, yes.

I find that route to be very hard to find availability using ba points. I have also found that there could be nothing available and then all available and then nothing a few hours later. so its annoying but you have to keep checking. Also I dont believe they fly in to fll- just mia

Idk about this weekend. But last weekend I checked Wednesday night for Thursday. LGA- PBI, mia etc and there was plenty available to get there. Coming back had to either be on Sunday or Tuesday though.

Yes I am familiar with PBI but same story there - minimal/no availability. Oh well I'll wait to see if something opens up. Thanks
