Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

It's been months since that worked. It doesn't even say free luggage on your confirmation anymore

I know a similar question was asked before but I wanted to confirm that if I'm traveling with an infant NYC-MIA with Avios I can just add the infant as a lap child at the airport?

I'm booking a ticket on avios and they are giving me an option to buy 10,000 avios for $300. That's a value of 3 cents a point which to me seems great. Why have I never heard of anyone doing this? Also, it seems to me that you get better value with cash and points than just points. Does anybody know if I'm missing something here?

Of course you're missing something.

You're BUYING points for 3 cpm, not redeeming them at that value.

Lets say you are booking a ticket to cle to dtw from nyc for 9k points- why is that worth $300 when u can buy without points for less?

I understand that but if you want to preserve your points for when you believe you'll get more value it could be good. Or, flights in cash for that time are 268 $ round trip. If I buy avios and fly it will be cheaper. In other words,  I don't have to even have a credit card and I can be flying for cheaper than what's posted as cheapest on kayak. ..

If I pay cash and points do is earn any miles for the cash payment? Also, are cancellation still free ( and in this case I would get refunded the points?)

no. I don't think you get to keep those points.
