Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

If one cancels on the phone, can he ask that the now open seat be rebooked with the new name? Would that cost him the $40 cancellation fee?

I would guess that NO, it has nothing to do with the phone rep, if it opens up you can book it again.

There would be a $40 fee regardless.

There are no fuel surcharges for any flights originating in Brazil.

when it's available on AA or better QS, it should be bookable with BA.

Yes and no. It's doable, but it will take time till they figure out how to do it. And you will pay ~$17 in taxes.

I canceled one leg of a Lga to Mia round trip flight. They charged me $65 to do it. Isn't it the lesser of $40and taxes, which should be $2.50?

It wasn't within 24 hours of the flight.

Besides for booking a rt it sounds like he followed Dan's knowledgebase to a T. Canceling one leg from a domestic rt should be $5. No?

If  I cancel online do I have to be concerned that they won't redepositing points ? In the past over phone that has happened & was even told by rep that they have to manually put them in & therefore reps can forget to do so ..
