Note that all sAAver flights available on AA.com are able to be booked on BA.  When there are many flights on one day, they may not all be listed on BA.com.  So you will have to call to book it.  Get the phone fee waved because it wasn't able to be booked on line.

NOTE: Household accounts will not allow transfers from Iberia to BA. Make sure you don't have a household account, and if you do, split it up.

NOTE: When booking, erase your Avios number when entering your passenger information. This will make it much simpler to add your AA Advantage number at a later time.

so whats the best option with spg points? what airline should I transfer them to?
Just ignore him. BA is the way to go. As far as how long it will take for the transfer to go through thats a different story.

I have had times where BA didn't show what turns up on AA. Now I am seeing other way around for an AA flight. Tomorrow from JFK to YUL BA is showing 2 seats available for the 2:59pm flight, and AA is showing nothing, only stopovers.

Amusing classic british airways automated voice accents makes the wait a lot less painful:

"make a new booking"
"inQUIries"
"SHedules"
"your car hire"
"an excess baggage allowance"
"if you're RINGING with any other inQUIry"
"please hold the line"
"prih-vacy"
Don't remember which, but I think this was(is) on OS;
"To speak with one of our colleagues in the colleagues dept, press 2"

Is it less than 24 hours after you made the booking?  If it is, you need to cancel on the phone and you should get your money back along with your miles.

I'm looking at a flight on BA F. To book through BA the YQ is much higher than if I book the same flight through AA. Is this normal?

Also, IME recently, if your flight was changed at all it needs to be cancelled on the phone, and you get the taxes back as well.

If you show both itin at the airport at check in then yes.
