There should be lots of meat ordered by pesach programs which willnow become available.
Other than plants shutting down (which seems to be a possibility), there should be enough to go around. There is no reason we as a community should be using any more chicken or meat than a regular year.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

we don't have any clients shutting down or even anticipating a shut down. I haven't heard from other hashgachos either that this is an issue. If anything, companies are running in overdrive to keep up

It should be much less. You know how much gets thrown out at these programs? (Including people who make themselves into garbage cans)

There is talk about confirmed cases at Agri, does it make sense that they'll need to shut down because of it?

Someone in Manchester told me his Rav told him to buy chometz gomer, freeze it, & sell it over pesach as most stuff is imported there & there could be big shortages.

That's what I was thinking. I assume there are a very limited number of professional shochtim in America to take their place temporarily. There aren't too many people who know how to shecht (although I do know a few), but they're no where near ready to shecht on a massive scale.

The possibility that we may have to make pesach is becoming more distinct. I already ordered $225 worth of kitchen supplies from walmart.
also good return policy in case by some miracle this thing blows over

On this topic, UK is having an issue that many of their shochtim usually come from Israel...

Multiple shabbossim in hotel settings- conventions, conferences,  high end aufruf, vacations, some with the kids, some without, make me count my blessings that I do  pesach at home. The only thing I would consider is Orlando style private settings. From speaking to friends and relatives who do it, unless you are willing to go very high end (private chef/ fully catered, delegate the kashering, etc. the hassle factor is huge. Happily celebrating the seforim with extended family at my home.

  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

If you can afford to get a private room and bring all your extended family, sure.
Otherwise, meh.

IINM, there's 2 different discussions here. Home Vs. Hotel & Home Vs. Parents/In-Laws

Am I wrong? Is everyone (besides me) talking about hotels and the like?
Small people talk about other people.
Average people talk about things
BIG PEOPLE TALK ABOUT IDEAS.
