Amazing that after 13 months, they still haven't learned any lessons #Canadastan

You're talking about a country that hasn't learned anything after 60 years of socialized medicine. 13 months is nothing.

Every single developed country in the world other than the US has universal healthcare, and all of them are happy about it, including Canada.

Outdoor recreation (i.e playgrounds) to be off limits.

Not gonna turn this thread into a referendum on universal healthcare, but I have a lot of relatives in Canada (and the UK), and none of them are happy about it. One relative in Canada had to wait over a year for simple cataract surgery which could have been scheduled and done in a matter of weeks here, and another relative with cancer had to rig US health insurance because the treatment in Canada would have killed him 3 years quicker.

Until they need to use it.

No travel allowed between Quebec and Ontario starting Sunday night.

Shuls limited to 10. (I'm not sure if that's per room or per facility)

Outdoor recreation (i.e playgrounds) to be off limits.

Police gain the power to stop and question anyone at will, and to ticket anyone who in their opinion has no valid reason to be outside.

Tickets start at $750.
I told my wife that we need to start a pidyon shvuyim fund to get all the Canadians out of jail

Two positive changes in Ontario:

CBC: Ontario walks back new policing powers following pushback

CP24: Premier Ford reverses decision to close playgrounds amid backlash

My wife and many of her friends are particularly relieved about the second one.

All but 3 Ontario police departments released statements that they would not be stopping people based on the new powers they were granted

Ive heard anecdotally that a number of Canadian families are now refugees in Lakewood until the insanity there ends, so they and their kids can have a semblance of  normalcy.

Not gonna turn this thread into a referendum on universal healthcare, but I have a lot of relatives in Canada (and the UK), and none of them are happy about it.
Look at public opinion polls, not members of a community which votes 95%+ Republican. The numbers are unequivocal.

One relative in Canada had to wait over a year for simple cataract surgery which could have been scheduled and done in a matter of weeks here, and another relative with cancer had to rig US health insurance because the treatment in Canada would have killed him 3 years quicker.
For every story like that, there are 10 fundraising campaigns for families crushed by medical bills. There are pros and cons to each system, but the idea that every developed country in the world 'hasn't learned anything' because their citizens prioritize equity over quality is remarkably close minded. America would be the same way if it was controlled by the majority of its citizens.

Canada's problem is that as a small country they gave up on manufacturing vaccines of all kinds years ago. They are dependent on a foreign supply chain, and are scrambling like western countries all over the world for vaccines.

This has nothing to do with universal health care.

Personally, I've lived in both  New York and Ontario for over 20 years each, and while both healthcare systems cause frustrations some times, I much prefer the Ontario system.

I need a car service that's avlb for the 25th of April to take someone from BUF airport to Toronto(meaning all the way to Bathurst)..

Prefer one person to cross and take them all the way.

Or if no other options will do one to cross and then one to take from the border to Toronto.

If you have any leads please keep me posted.

 Thanks guys.
Don't try to be someone else , be who you are because everyone else is taken.

The 3 day hotel layover for passengers arriving by air has been extended to May 21.
