You could upload on ArriveCAN not sure if it actually verifies.
Since I don't have one at the moment, Gonna skip that step.

Depends in the officer
Not taking chances.

If no vaccine you must be eligible to enter.
Dual Citizen so I should be fine.

PCR test required even if vaccinated
Ok will try tomorrow.

Any idea if one can fly without being vaccinated? Is the hotel quarantine still in effect?

You will be told to quarantine and must present an acceptable quarantine plan.

What's the current situation for a Canadian Citizen going to Canada from the USA? Needs a PCR test?
And is one allowed to fly into Canada, is the 2 week hotel quarantine still in effect? Or only drive through  the border?
No hotel but you need PCR test and if you upload your vaccination record through ArriveCan you can be exempted from quarantine.

On Monday the US extended land border restrictions with Mexico and Canada for another month, until Oct 21. So Chinese can soon fly into the US but Canadians can't drive in.

And flights from India to Canada resume next week, but you can't shuffle off to Buffalo.

And why hasn't Chuck Schumer been able to wake up Slumbering Joe - one would think he has significant influence in the Biden administration.  It seems clear that the mess at the Southern Border is the reason for Biden's refusal to open the Canadian border.

I drove across the Blue Water Bridge from Port Huron, and everything was fine.  However, I still received those annoying emails from the Government of Canada claiming that I was in quarantine and to report my symptoms.  One day I received a  phone call and the guy said he would note that I need not quarantine but the emails never stopped.

Not until November.

Correct, but I was hoping that announcement would trigger some sort of good news for land borders soon too.

Maybe we can still hope for an announcement before Oct 21 with some news for Nov on the land borders...

Nobody thinks that the land border restrictions won't be lifted in November. They just lazily didn't mention it.

And nobody thought it'll be closed for 19 months and scontinue while Canada's border is already open...

What does this mean - that everyone thinks the border will be opened in November?

That if they will allow anyone vaccinated by air, they will allow the same by land border.

Right because for the past 19 months air and land basically shared the same rules?

Will Beh try tom early.
Last time I did the covid swab test at the border. I think this time I'm just going to cross and tell them I'll do it later.

Can unvaccinated older kids fly in and out for a shabbos? One parent is Canadian. What happens with the 14 day quarrantine?

My mother is a Canadian citizen, so all of my siblings back in the day when we were born were all made Canadian citizens, in essence a dual citizen.
I've gone a few times back-and-forth over the past year or 2.
Though I brought my Canadian Citizenship card every time I went.
I gave it to them and sometimes they asked for it.

Though I know of an aunt of mine who came to visit her son who lives in Toronto and she had no problem going in(she wasn't a Canadian citizen).
 Ymmv.
Not going to tell you one way or the other but obviously best to be a citizen, though if you can prove that your mother lives in Canada or….

And to answer your quarantine question I've stayed less than 14 days many times Bh never had an issue.

Did they get rid of the rapid testing upon entry?

I drove in via the Peace Bridge last night and there was no red cross guy there and the border guard didn't mention any test. (Fully vaccinated so no day 7 test either.)

Was never a thing. They give you a self home test kit, but that's also YMMV.
