In other news, I've not noticed that they extended the vaccine exemption for foreigners until August 2022

They must show proof of a valid COVID-19 test result at the time of boarding. After August 31, 2022, foreign nationals will need to be fully vaccinated in order to board a flight or train to depart Canada."

Flight from US>Israel with a connection in Toronto- are there any Covid restrictions? We are vaccinated two doses but not the booster and the vaccination is from March 2021.

Double dose or J&J is enough. Actually more lenient than USA, no pre departure covid necessary. Download the government app and upload proof of vaccination.

How about to drive into Canada (to get my spouse from the airport) and return to the US? What will I need? I guess proof of vaccination (have double dose) and Covid test to return to US?

Can you direct me to the links for these rules- both US and CA?

I entered Canada for shavous unvaccinated. They showed up at my house to make sure I'm quarantining. They usually only come on day 8 though so if you're going in and out for a wedding you should be fine.

Ironically the US and Canada are amongst only a handful of Western nations still requiring proof of vaccination to enter
