Ironically the US and Canada are amongst only a handful of Western nations still requiring proof of vaccination to enter
The US is the only nation in the world that has a hard figuring out how to change rules. Once something is set, it stays
Needed to create a "taskforce" how to end the travel ban from Europe, and needed to work on a plan how to end the mask mandate

OTTAWA: Canada's Health Minister declared "fully vaccinated" now means 3 injections, stating, two doses don’t work anymore.

למאי נפק״מ? What difference(s) are there in current Canadian regulations whether someone is “fully vaccinated”? AFAIK here in NYC there’s no practical difference, as the places that require masking tend to require masks even if you’re fully vaccinated.

Can someone confirm or deny this?
When does this go into effect?

Apparently, not finalized..

I would imagine they'd give you enough time to get the shot/fill out your card

What are the options for a family that want's to drive to YYZ from the US, (They live close to the border) and fly from YYZ-TLV?
At what age can a child be vaccinated? and is there any age that a child is let through without being vaccinated?
It's for Sukkos so there really is no way to know what will be then....

I would hope they relax the rules by sukkos, but if not here are the current rules for each age:

Thank you!
So if I understand correctly, unvaccinated children that are under 12 are allowed into Canada with a vaccinated adult even though they are not Canadian citizens?

Can you believe this??? If you're a Canadian citizen testing positive you'll be fined $5000 for returning home with no other option available besides waiting 10 days

But there's no entry test requirement anymore, so how would you test positive?

Or to say it differently, how would they know that you tested positive while abroad?

A) if you aren't vaccinated B) if you are sick and you tested for some reason and you ain't lying C) If you're selected for random testing (not sure they still do that)

Do I need to be vaccinated if I have a layover in Toronto?
Does it make a difference if I want to leave the airport or stay inside the whole time?

You don't need anything to transit through, seems you will not be allowed to leave the airport

Are you sure of that? From this page it seems like they might not let you board a flight to Canada and/or not let you board the flight connecting out of Canada.

I just searched Air Canada's website again, and this is what I found: "Travellers are allowed to transit through Canada to third countries as long as they do not leave the international airport area." This was for when I put in that I am unvaxed. I have gotten  3 shots, but I do not have proof. Oh well.

We planned on going to Niagara for this Shabbos by car and staying in hotel. 20 yr. daughter is not vaccinated. It seems like she would need to quarantine 14 days and have negative PCR. But we'll be back in US by Sunday.
What can she do to get in and out, but not get in trouble?
