There are several key aspects here at play (office environment):

-Some employees might be afraid to show up

-With schools and day cares closed some are forced to stay home

-Sales and related duties might be down

How do you handle lack of workforce?

How will your company survive?
Jews ≠ Zionists
Palestinians ≠ Hamas
Satmar ≠ SatmarHQ

I know of a therapy agency that instructed all the therapist to take home materials/make copies etc so they can go work in students homes. The question is if people will be willing to go to other houses amidst this virus.

CRE Multi-Family Developer-Owner-Manager:

Current projects on hold - banks committed to work with us, suppliers and vendors desperate for assurances to continue jobs.
Properties under contract - force majeure (regardless we never give out hard deposits). Or we'll close cash on any deals that suddenly turn golden (now that rates are cut) and refi when the dust settles.
Stable Properties - Collect rent aggressively, suspend some costs (ie Marketing), and talk to my employees about a pay cut vs layoffs. Bh March rent collection is over at 96%. We will see a nationwide eviction moratorium being placed soon, which will hurt.

I feel terrible for anyone in hotels & offices right now. And this is the nail in the coffin for retail.

B&H is online only now. I think they have a store pickup option as well.

Amazon should do this with Prime Now. Let members do their own order pickups from the warehouses.

Newark already has a moratorium. Courts are closing. Tenants will probably take notice pretty fast.

Nebach, he's in La La Land. I had 3 term sheets pulled in last 2 weeks, this guy won't sign up a loan for the next 3 months. Basically every Capital Markets guy is clueless now.

Or he wants to put his workers at ease, even if he knows he's going to lose money over the next months.

I have arranged for the 3 in-office employees to be able to work remotely.

We have 11 hourly employees who don't qualify for unemployment (a story for another time- we were kicked out if the program as an exempt organization) either out of work or unable to work.
Hopefully the federation will assist with a relief fund.

Where's the source for that?
Dear B&H Employees,

As the situation continues to rapidly unfold, our continued desire is to keep our employees, families, and customers safe. We are continuing to work around the clock for all contingencies, while balancing the need to take care of our employees financially and serve our customers effectively.

Today, I have made the decision to close our SuperStore for all in-store sales, effective tomorrow morning—Monday, March 16th.  This is an unprecedented decision that we have not made since opening our doors; however, I feel this is the right decision to protect our employees and customers. The store sees many customers daily and there is no way to run the store effectively while trying to maintain social distancing.  The 420 Warehouse and other supporting departments of our store will remain open for our buy-online/pickup-in-store option, and support will be available from our outstanding sales staff through phone, online chat, and email. We will encourage customers to use these services.

The SuperStore will remain closed through Saturday, March 28th, at which point we will reevaluate the situation.

Tomorrow, we will begin rolling out a work-from-home setup in our 440 building and continue to ramp this up over the coming days as the situation continues to unfold. Additionally, we are taking many steps to protect our employees in our distribution center. I have personally spent the day in Florence today to help plan and coordinate some of these steps, and many of these steps are being outlined separately to NJF employees by management and Human Resources.

As a reminder, if you are not feeling well or are in a group that is considered more vulnerable to the effects of the virus, I ask you to stay home and keep HR and your manager informed.

I want to take this opportunity once more to thank all our employees and everyone in management for stepping up and doing everything possible to get us through this situation safely and helping us maintain the ability to service our customers. I urge every employee to remain calm while taking these necessary steps to remain safe. Please do not panic. We all know that panicking is probably as contagious as the virus itself.

Let us all pray for the wellbeing of our employees and their families during these trying times. I am confident, G-d willing, we will all get through this together soon.

Menashe Horowitz, CEO

My office has nothing to do besides for minimal amounts of office work. My boss pushed me to assist with local projects to help the community. That's my new job for now.
Memories last forever, make them while you can.
