Where's the source for that?
Dear B&H Employees,
As the situation continues to rapidly unfold, our continued desire is to keep our employees, families, and customers safe. We are continuing to work around the clock for all contingencies, while balancing the need to take care of our employees financially and serve our customers effectively.
Today, I have made the decision to close our SuperStore for all in-store sales, effective tomorrow morning—Monday, March 16th. This is an unprecedented decision that we have not made since opening our doors; however, I feel this is the right decision to protect our employees and customers. The store sees many customers daily and there is no way to run the store effectively while trying to maintain social distancing. The 420 Warehouse and other supporting departments of our store will remain open for our buy-online/pickup-in-store option, and support will be available from our outstanding sales staff through phone, online chat, and email. We will encourage customers to use these services.
The SuperStore will remain closed through Saturday, March 28th, at which point we will reevaluate the situation.
Tomorrow, we will begin rolling out a work-from-home setup in our 440 building and continue to ramp this up over the coming days as the situation continues to unfold. Additionally, we are taking many steps to protect our employees in our distribution center. I have personally spent the day in Florence today to help plan and coordinate some of these steps, and many of these steps are being outlined separately to NJF employees by management and Human Resources.
As a reminder, if you are not feeling well or are in a group that is considered more vulnerable to the effects of the virus, I ask you to stay home and keep HR and your manager informed.
I want to take this opportunity once more to thank all our employees and everyone in management for stepping up and doing everything possible to get us through this situation safely and helping us maintain the ability to service our customers. I urge every employee to remain calm while taking these necessary steps to remain safe. Please do not panic. We all know that panicking is probably as contagious as the virus itself.
Let us all pray for the wellbeing of our employees and their families during these trying times. I am confident, G-d willing, we will all get through this together soon.
