Personally I would postpone them (daughters is in June). If not then keep it to under 50.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

From the little bit I have learned it seems this a tougher decision for Jews than for most.

It's not a ban at this point, it's something the CDC recommends.

Right Now

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo of New York said gatherings of more than 50 people would be banned in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

My brother had a wedding that was supposed to be tonight at The Sands. The Sands told them already last week that they're shutting down, so they moved it to The Woodmere Club on Sunday night. There were surely fewer people than would have been expected, but he said it was hard to tell because it was a smaller venue. It was more than 10 people, that's for sure - and probably over 50 too (though that was before this 50 person ban).

Excuse my ignorance. How big of a deal is it to postpone a Jewish wedding?

Here is where I am coming from. Date for a couple of years. Get engaged for a year or two and then set the wedding date. So waiting another 6 months is no big deal.

Lol. Honestly, I'm shocked this hasn't come up yet in your years on this forum. For many (most?) here 6 months is on the longer side from first date to married.

Plus, you have to remember that every wedding under discussion was fully planned/booked already. So there are potentially costs to moving it, and couples don't necessarily want to wait an as yet TBD amount of time to start their married lives together.

I fully understand the first date to married and we had many discussions on it. The planned/booked/cost is no different than a non-Jewish wedding. I guess what I am asking is there a religious aspect to it as not to postpone the wedding.

There is a religious aspect to not pushing it off. Also keep in mind that there is no "moving in" before marriage.
