Regarding gyms, they make most of their money on people who never actually show up. Although some people may cancel their membership now there will always be new suckers next New Years. I don't see much an effect long term.

In general it's not a good idea to avoid all germs etc. It's an important component of building and maintaining a strong immune system.
9:00 shachris on shabbos.
815-830
Actually feel kind of guilty enjoying a 9:00 yard shachris on shabbos with trees and birds chirping rather than a somewhat overcrowded Lakewood beis medrash. Same goes for learning with a chavrusah outdoors in a wooded bungalow colony like setting without having to make myself heard over the loud fellows sitting behind me. Kind of feels like enjoying chutz la’aretz and all that golus has to offer, without acknowledging that it’s all due to the tragic fact that we were exiled from the beis hamikdash and the land we belong in. OTOH perhaps we are meant to find some enjoyment despite the predicament?

That describes like maybe 20 percent of Lakewood. You need to get out more.
Will there be a large decrease in demand for barber? Now that so many people bought their own machines and realized the haircuts are not rocket science, especially the classic frum haircuts. I find going to the barber really inconvenient, between wait times (even with appointments) and itchy hairy head after. Add in the fact that costs are up to $20+ after tip, and I’m left scratching my head as to why this has gone on for so long.........
